Charlie and Nick (played by Joe Locke and Kit Connor) share a deep friendship. A deeply touching story of two adolescents whose acting is completely compelling.
A TV show about, among other things, equality, acceptance and pride in one’s own identity, and thus once again extremely contemporary. The production is in no way inferior to the very good acting performance of the cast. Highly recommended TV show by Alice Oseman.

This TV show, a spin-off of “The Suicide Squad”, tells the story of the DC anti-hero Peacemaker (played by John Cena), who has sworn to keep the peace at all costs: Even if he has to use force of arms and strike down potential enemies to do so.
An action-packed comic book adaptation, as you would expect from DC. The humorous interludes and the wordplay are not left out and are in no way inferior to the origin of “The Suicide Squad”. One of the best TV shows 2022 when it comes to antiheroes. Developed for television by James Gunn (also director of Guardians of the Galaxy) an absolute must for fans, action and comedy lovers.

4. Reacher (IMDb 8,1/10)
Alan Ritchson plays the main character of Jack Reacher, which is based on the book TV show of the identical name by Lee Child. In the TV show, he is wrongly accused of murder and ends up behind bars. Now it is up to the retired military policeman to prove his innocence.
Suspenseful and dramatically staged, the TV series offers a lot of potential for character depth, plot twists and a good pinch of humor: The rating on IMDb speaks for itself.

5. Yellowjackets (IMDb 7,9/10)
Although the TV show was released towards the end of 2021, it didn’t gain the full spotlight until 2022 – and rightly so. Deep in the Ontario wilderness, a team of young female soccer players survives a sudden plane crash.
The series shows in an impressive and at the same time harrowing way how a sworn soccer team can become a group of people fighting each other in the most bitter way. Deep insights into the emotional worlds of the characters show shocking developments within the group. An absolutely recommended TV show, which reminds a bit of the movie “Lord of the Flies”.

6. Slow Horses (IMDb 7,7/10)
The agent dramedy tells the story of a group of British secret agents of MI5, who make a final mistake that brings their career to an absolute low point: They are transferred to the ridiculed Slough House, an extremely monotonous and unspectacular special department, in which they are allowed to serve from now on and are relentlessly exposed to the wrath of their superior Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman).
A quick-witted agent TV show with a good cast that is definitely worth watching. Based on the novel by Mick Herron.

7. The Dropout (IMDb 7,5/10)
Elizabeth Holmes (played by Amanda Seyfried) wants to revolutionize healthcare. After dropping out of college, she founds a medical company with the promise of bringing a new technology to market that will allow blood tests to be performed in the shortest possible time without extensive blood sampling. A promise that is not kept and is exposed as a fake by scientists.
A story based on actual events from the recent past. It has also been proven, not least by the Covid pandemic, that ruthlessness in health care can lead to a quick buck. A TV show about people who shamelessly exploit this societal need and want to profit from it. Very much worth watching with current, social relevance.

8. Archive 81 (IMDb 7,3/10)
Mamoudou Athie, as movie restoration expert Dan Tuner, is hired by student Melody (Dina Shihabi) to restore a collection of old videotapes. In the process, he inevitably uncovers the sinister secrets of a cult.
The TV show convinces with its mysterious, surreal staging and in places reminds us of works like “Stranger Things” in its style and bizarreness. The roles of the characters are perfectly cast and there is absolutely no lack of suspense. A must-see for anyone who enjoys the mystical.

9. Vikings: Valhalla (IMDb 7,1/10)
We’ re off on a raid again. The TV show is a sequel to the acclaimed TV show “Vikings” on Amazon Prime Video and tells the adventures of Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Harada and the Norman King William the Conqueror – 100 years later.
While “Vikings” is still very popular today, the successor “Vikings: Valhalla” offers equal entertainment and can convince with a top cast and on par staging of epic battles. An absolute must for every “Vikings” fan and follower of historical action films. When it comes to historical topics, definitely one of the best tv shows 2022.

As expected, this spin-off from the Star Wars universe also serves us a packing story: We are taken to distant, impressive places and experience epic battles with sustained suspense and interesting character developments. Another immersive masterpiece from Disney and highly recommended for all Star Wars fans.
